TX1 wide-angle lens mod

Phillip Torrone has a short and sweet MAKE rundown of a TX1 modification to allow a wide angle lens to be attached. It's not for everyone, but if you're keen to take on the challenge, check it out.

Hmm. I certainly haven't tried one of those, and I wonder how it fits over the lens, especially once it is retracted. I wouldn't want the thing to fall off every time I switched the camera off.

I e-mailed canon and they said that no extra lens would work

I did the same thing with a ring of styrofoam and a cheap fish eye. Just cut it with a pocket knife. Voila! ;-P

No probs. I even rigged a night vision scope to it one time.
