DIY Stabilisation for the TX1

The Rodfather Mobile Blog has a good overview of a number of DIY stabilisation options for the TX1 to assist or replace the on-board IS.

I have tried a few of these in the past using DV cams with mixed success. Personally though I really like the look of the Wii steering wheel option linked to in the article.

Thanks for creating the forum. So I purchased the TX1 in Feb 08 and am having problems transfering my movies from the card to my computer. What is the best way to do this and then convert it to something I can burn? Any help with software packages would be wonderful. My problem is the movies are very choppy uncompressed and are too small when converting.

Great article discussing publication of inventions -- about the guy in the photo that innovated this:

Hi, I work for a company that has created a simple social commerce solution, and we’re hoping to reach non-profit professionals who are looking for creative ways to raise money online. In just five minutes, your organization can set up your own personal storefront and choose from thousands of products to recommend and sell. Anytime someone buys something off your Lodge, your organization gets 10% of the sale.

It’s a great way to mobilize donors because you make money every time they purchase products off your marketLodge! It’s easy to set up a Lodge and display it wherever you go online—set up a widget for your website or blog, or include a link to your Lodge in your email newsletters.

For more information, please go to http://marketlodge.com.

Thanks!
